       "The Prime of Your Life" is an unfinished song which eventually became "The Longest Time."  Most of the lyrics in the song are just gibberish, filler.   It seems like putting "Rosalinda," "Long, Long Time" or the 1983 version of "You've Got Me Hummin'" would have been a better choice on My Lives, than this song.

    Nonetheless, it is an example of Billy putting away a song (fastidiously recorded by Phil Ramone and his crew), and then returning to it later to get snippets for, or the basis of, another song.​
